Free Pilot

Taste and see what disciple-making could look like in your church.

The Free Pilot is a low-risk, high-clarity way to help you experience the Modern Day Disciple Maker operating system in real church life. You do not need to commit to a full implementation to know whether this is simple, useful, and worth pursuing.
Why pastors say yes to the pilot

Most pastors do not need more inspiration. They need a simple way to see whether disciple-making can become clearer, more reproducible, and more visible in their actual ministry environment. The Free Pilot is designed to give you that experience and see for yourself.

What the Free Pilot actually is

A real-world test

This is not a full rollout. It is a focused, relational pilot that lets a pastor and a small number of leaders experience the disciple-making rhythm in real life before making a bigger decision.

A “taste and see” experience

The goal is to help you feel the rhythm, evaluate the simplicity, gather honest feedback, and determine whether this operating system could genuinely serve your church.

A short learning window

Even though the Gospel of Mark journey is a 16-week discipleship experience, a pilot team only needs about 2–3 weeks to understand the rhythm, structure, and strategy well enough to evaluate it meaningfully.

A wise evaluation point

Within about 4 weeks, you should have enough practical experience and feedback to determine whether to stop, refine, expand, or move toward fuller implementation.

What you may experience during the pilot

  • A short clarity conversation to align expectations and define the scope
  • A guided introduction to the disciple-making framework and weekly rhythm
  • A real sample of the Gospel of Mark inductive discipleship process
  • Leader reflection and participant feedback on what is working and what feels unclear
  • A practical evaluation session within 4 weeks to determine the best next step
Look under the hood
Experience both sides of the disciple-making relationship. The sample Leader Guide shows how the discipler is guided, and the sample Disciple Workbook shows how the disciple is engaged. Together they demonstrate the simple, biblical, repeatable rhythm at the core of the pilot. The Leader Guide sample already demonstrates the weekly structure, emphasis on time with God, obedience, and eventual multiplication.

The Disciple1x1 App guides the Discipler— so every Disciple receives a consistent yet amazing experience.

Most tools focus only on content. The Disciple1x1 App helps guide, equip, and support the person leading the relationship—so disciple-making can actually reproduce.

  • Step-by-step support for the discipler during the handoff and weekly journey
  • A modern tool to guide the relationship, not replace it
  • Includes a 30-day consecration process that helps prepare disciples to become disciple-makers
  • Even if the full app experience is not used during the pilot, pastors still get a glimpse into the larger operating system
If the pilot works, here is what it can grow into
The pilot is not the whole system. It is how you experience the heart of it before deciding whether you want to build the larger disciple-making operating system in your church.
What you experience in the Pilot
  • Core disciple-making pathway through the Gospel of Mark
  • Disciple1x1 App access in pilot form
  • Training and commissioning of pilot participants
  • A small group of intentional disciple-makers
  • Relational, real-life testing in your church context
What churches can build long-term
  • Leadership alignment across ministries
  • Clear church-wide disciple-making pathway
  • Visibility into multiplication through genealogy and metrics
  • Feedback loops, strategy sessions, and long-term execution rhythm
  • Deeper integration into the operating life of the church
Why this is free

This pilot is free because another church has already helped invest in building and refining this disciple-making system and wanted to make it accessible to other churches by paying it forward to you. We simply ask pastors to apply so we can ensure the pilot is a good fit, steward it well, and make sure it is taken seriously.

Who this is best for

The Free Pilot is best for pastors and church leaders who are serious about disciple-making, open to honest evaluation, and willing to test something simple before asking for large-scale change. It is especially helpful for churches that want more than inspiration—they want a practical way to execute the Great Commission.
